Beach Interlude
Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 10:30PM At home a new season was unfurling its riches, but the past few days I was at Orange Beach, near Gulf Shores. The weather was warm and breezy, and the sunsets were lovely. It was a great way to spend a few days in February, a pleasant interlude between winter and spring. Here are a few photos taken while I was playing hooky from gardening duties.

Late afternoon was the perfect time to relax on the beach, to view the waves, and to take walks as the sun began to set:
I came home rejuvenated and ready to get to work. The garden awaits!

Beautiful scenery, Deb. I'm glad you got a nice, relaxing break. I hope it was warm too. I'm actually shivering from the cold here and that's not something that happens often.
It is so nice to have a place like that to escape to without driving too far. We always went to the beach in October.

We just got back from a winter getaway too - down to South FL to visit family.
It was nice to get away and thaw out -- although to be honest, it was actually already a little *too* hot down there for my liking (highs in the mid-50s).
Well, now that we're back in Tennessee, I don't think we have to worry about 'too hot' for a while. ;-)
Oh, that does look like a lovely place to relax and rejuvenate. My sister and her husband and in-laws used to spring break at Gulf Shores. I've never been there, but you've convinced me to check it out. Your sky pictures are priceless!

Beautiful pictures of the ocean and sky! February is a great time to go to the beach. You reminded me that we didn't go last year and we're only 2 hours away.
