Going to the beach!
It was a gorgeous day today, with spring-like temperatures and freshly washed blue skies. Unfortunately, work commitments kept me out of the garden. This was awful, for the garden fever is starting to take hold. You know the symptoms. It was so bad that I stopped this afternoon at a local nursery and purchased several plants for the Lady Garden, though I have no hope of planting them until the middle of next week, if then. But I had to do something; I couldn't let today be a complete waste of a good gardening day.
I don't have to work for the next several days, but I won't be home to garden. Instead, I will be at the beach! Alabama's coast has miles of sugar white sandy beaches, a secret many in other parts of the country may not know about. So I will post a few photos when I come back next week.
Here's looking forward to a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever you may be doing. Lets hope we all have as much fun as my friend Lucee did, the day I took this photo on a previous visit to Alabama's Gulf Coast.

Hi Deb~~ The first few lines of your post and I could have sworn you lived here in western Oregon. This is not the first time your weather has been similar to ours. I was unaware of Alabama's picturesque land and seascapes. I look forward to your photos.
I look forward to seeing your photos of the beach in Alabama. I have not been there myself. I hope you get time to plant soon :^)
Enjoy your holiday! I look forward to seeing what goodies you got when you are back.
I hope you have a great time at the beach! It looks to be warmer there than our recent trip to Frigid Florida.
I just read your previous post about your Lady Garden and all the color. Very pretty!
I know what you mean about garden fever, anytime the sun is out now I want to get out and do something.
Have a nice trip!
White sandy beaches sounds perfect!! Hope you have a lovely time... look forward to some photos! I know what you mean by the need to buy some plants even when you know you cannot plant them right away! Alas... I have done this far too many times. Eventually they do get planted. Plants have an amazing will to survive. ;>)
Great pic, what a cool dog. Hope you have a fun beach break.
Deborah,
Hope you enjoy your trip. Going to the ocean is a great way to thake a mental health day from work.
Lovely post Deb- can you possibly email me ? I've tried to email you this morning but I cant get my server to speak to yours! LOL
