This is one of my favorite places to relax. Many birds inhabit the surrounding woodlands. The wooden arbor has since been painted.

Coral bark Maple

Acer palmatum 'Sango-kaku' has stunning bark, which gives it its common name, Coral Bark Maple.

Lonicera sempervirens is a native vine, also called Coral honeysuckle. It has beautiful blooms all season, but unfortunately has no fragrance.

This lady in the arbor garden has variegated ivy hair.
Candlelier in the arbor garden

This iron candlelier hangs near a small bistro set, setting a romatic, if not practical, mood. With pinestraw mulch below, I would never actually light these candles!

This wooden bistro set is near the swing and provides a nice spot to eat a sandwich and sip on a cool drink in the summertime.

These corinthian bell wind chimes hang from a dogwood tree near the arbor garden. I have an assortment of wind chimes in the area. I love them! Fall colors are beginning to show in this October picture.

In November the arbor garden is covered up with leaves, but this Boston fern is still growing. I confess I will let it be killed by frosts; each spring I buy a new one.
